Overview:
Lions Gate Entertainment hired The Illusion Factory to make the second screen promo for their top grossing theatrical success, The Hunger Games, as this film was released on Blu Ray DVD.
Goal:
Drive DVD purchasers to access the Metabeam app for second screen interaction with the home entertainment.
Execution:
Featuring the Metabeam second screen special features, this fully animated 3D spot was produced entirely from raw materials modelled and animated at The Illusion Factory.
Results:
Audience interest in the Metabeam second screen functionality skyrocketed and further propelled this already very successful title to ever greater sales records.

The Hunger Games was directed by Gary Ross based on a novel by Suzanne Collins of the same name. It was produced by Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik, written by Gary Ross, Suzanne Collins and Billy Ray and starred Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland.
